The Resilient Communities Initiative catalyzed a series of informal Resilient Communities Roundtable discussions among top local and county leaders. Their goal: to explore ways in which they might work together to benefit each municipality and the region. A proposal has been announced which would formalize the group into a public Intergovernmental Cooperation Council.
The Resilient Community Roundtables relied on independent study and analysis to better inform their discussions around possible collaboration. Wisconsin Policy Forum (WPF) conducted these studies, which include in-depth fiscal analyses, as well as a regional service analysis, with the oversight of municipal administrators and involvement of service department staff.
