In 2016, Knapp Elementary School became Racine's first community school. Through a partnership between United Way and Racine Unified School District, this community school model provides students, families and the Knapp Community an integrated focus on academics, health and social services, youth and community development and community engagement to support improved student learning, stronger families and a healthier community.
