In 2016, Knapp Elementary School became Racine's first community school. Through a partnership between United Way and Racine Unified School District, this community school model provides students, families and the Knapp Community an integrated focus on academics, health and social services, youth and community development and community engagement to support improved student learning, stronger families and a healthier community. 
Knapp is a story of transformation, inside and out. Come learn about how the community school model is leveling the playing field for students and families. Hear about the early successes, challenges and opportunities for improvement as we prepare for an exciting third year.

Due to this economic boom, Nevada is the #3 State for Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth, with the Reno-Sparks region adding between 7,000 and 10,000 new jobs annually.

Amid the unprecedented economic growth and success, the region faces serious challenges in the areas of talent attraction and development, transportation, and housing. This community briefing and following conference is being held to facilitate networking, relationship building and information sharing between the Racine, Wisconsin and Reno, Nevada communities.
