Goals:

This meeting will engage leaders from a variety of water, energy, and climate change perspectives in an exploration of the intersection between water infrastructure and climate change. Meeting participants will scope out opportunities to design, construct and manage (or rebuild) water infrastructure in smarter, more integrated ways that help communities adapt to the emerging and future impacts of climate change, while simultaneously generating other benefits. The discussion will also push beyond adaptation to examine ways in which revamped water infrastructure can help mitigate climate change via reduced energy use and greenhouse gas emissions, and/or renewable energy generation.
